Terdapat dua model umum pelaporan keuangan yaitu Anglo- American Model atau Anglo- Saxon Model dan Continental Model. Anglo- Saxon Model lebih cenderung didominasi oleh peran profesi akuntansi, sedangkan peran pemerintah terbatas.
